Happy 4th Birthday, Parker D!

Parker at his 4th Birthday Party!
Four years old.. Unbelievable. I know it is cliche, but it truly seems like only yesterday they were wheeling me back to the operating room for an unplanned cesarean section. Parker made his dramatic entrance into this world and has been the apple of our eyes ever since.

Life before him was simply no fun! Michael and I couldn't imagine life without our precious baby. Yes, he is and always will be our baby.

What Parker has accomplished by age of 4:

  • His vocabulary is wonderful, always using his "big words"
  • He can count to 20
  • He recognizes all of his ABC's
  • He can sing numerous songs
  • He knows his days of the week
  • He can write his name
  • He no longer uses sippy cups, only "big boy" cups
  • He doesn't need his "tag" (security blanket) anymore.. He hardly ever asks for it
  • He knows football plays, he understands what wide receiver is, why you have to PUNT, he uses the term "first down" like he is a varsity football player..
  • He LOVES soccer
  • He now has an imaginary friend named RJ :)
  • Batman is, by far, his favorite toy
  • He can work the iPhone, iPad better than most adults
  • He understands why we pray every night before bed and why we should be thankful for our blessings
I realize I am probably forgetting some milestones, but I am so proud of my baby.

To celebrate Parker's 4th Birthday we had a party for all of his friends at The Sports Zone. It was a blast. The children had the option of jumping in a jump house, playing on a pirate ship, playing baseball in a batting cage, or playing football/soccer on field. Usually, we open gifts at the birthday party, but this year the kids were so interested in playing we didn't even have time. Which was okay. It was nice coming home and opening gifts with just the three of us.
