Batman

Where do I begin? Parker has had many obsessions over the past 3.5 years. We have had Woody, Buzz, and an Auburn Football player to mention a few... But recently, Batman has been all we have talked about.

I am not even sure where this obsession sprouted from. He has never seen a Batman movie due to the violence... We have watched an occasional animated episode before. But, now that we are in full blown Batman mode- it is all he thinks about.

I love that Parker has such a creative imagination. He is always fighting crime in his "Batmobile" with Robin. He has such a great spirit! Who knows what our next obsession will be, but for now we are stocking up on anything and everything BATMAN!

Finding Nemo 3D

Sporting our cool 3D glasses!
Finding Nemo was one of the very first movies Parker watched. I can remember him watching it every time we were in the car when he was around a year old. He loved the movie, and so did I!

Tuesday, after soccer, I decided to take him to see the 3D version. Parker gets so excited anytime he gets to go to the movie theatre. From the popcorn to the "big TV", he loves it all. Michael was working so we had a a mommy/son date! I love spending time with my little man. I never really knew my best friend could be a 3 year old. But, he is my sidekick and we are almost inseparable!

Under Construction - Week 3

Progress..

I couldn't be more thrilled to say that even more progress has been made on the house in the past week. Michael is giving it 100% so that we can hopefully be in the new house by Christmas of this year. Parker and I are very blessed to have such a hard working father/husband.

Exponential progress has been made in the past 23 days... It is hard to believe it has only been that long. We are there everyday.. Michael basically only gets to come home to sleep. The long days and hard work will be worth it, Michael is building our family a beautiful place to call home.

Day 1

Week 3 Day 1

The end of week 3.. It is starting to look like a house!

House Divided

Roll Tide... War Eagle..

It is no secret that different fight songs are chanted during football season at our house. Michael is die hard Auburn while I am die hard Alabama. It makes for an interesting season! Parker, deep down, loves orange and blue.. At times, he will say Roll Tide to satisfy myself or Granna and Pops. Ultimately, he is an Auburn fan just like his daddy.

We started the first Saturday of our football season in Atlanta, Georgia in the Georgia Dome. Michael and I went to the Auburn vs. Clemson game. While, I did not say War Eagle, I did have a great time. Anytime that Michael and I can spend time together is a treat! I joke with Michael that since I accompanied him to an Auburn game he now has to do the same with me to an Alabama game. We all know it will never happen, but its nice to hope that it will!

Dinomite Soccer- Season 2

Our First Practice

We recently started our second season of EYSA soccer. We are on the Dinomite team and Parker loves it! Every Tuesday from 4:30-5:30 we practice and on Saturdays it is game time! Our first practice of the second season was a 100% improvement from our first practice of the spring season. All of the children did so well! We are so happy that soccer is back in session! Parker loves being an "athlete"! I see many sports in our future!

Game Time!

Parker's first game was a major success! He gave it his all and even scored a few goals! We are very proud of his hard work! Other than a minor wardrobe malfunction (he ran right out of his shoe) the first game went without a flaw! Once again, Parker made us proud!

Under Construction- Week 2

Week 2- Day 1
If you know us, you know that here lately our life has revolved around 145 Blue Lakes Drive. If we aren't there, we are certainly thinking about the house. Michael spends 100% of his spare time working on the house. While I miss my husband, I couldn't be more thankful for the hard work he has put into the construction process.

At the end of week 2, we (meaning Michael) have really made some progress. Things are moving along, and we can't wait to call the construction zone home!

The sand pile- Parker's favorite part of the new house ;)

We have walls!

Now, an upstairs!

Cooling everyone off with the water gun!
